The New Fanny Crosby Project
Fanny Crosby wrote somewhere between 8000 to 10,000 hymns. She was often asked to write a hymn on a certain topic. She would write two or three poems on that topic and allow the one requesting the hymn to pick their favorite. The others got tucked away for future use. These poems have recently been dusted off (2700 of them) and are being set to music. I first heard about the project on the Public Square radio broadcast and thought I ought to let them know about what I do. They had me visit their office in Strongsville, Ohio and record some material to be used on future radio programs, at the Heaven's Encore concert and on a future DVD documentary on the project. Here are some links to the first radio broadcast that included me and to parts one and two of Heaven's Encore, the live concert recording.
